Ask not what you can do with salt. Ask what salt can do for YOU!

Jeff forwarded this amazing list to me last week. Apparently, salt can do wonders for all sorts of problems. A few of my favorites:

*Wrap a block of cheese in saltwater-damp cloth to prevent molding in the fridge

*Soak a new broom in a bucket of warm saltwater before first use & it will last longer (yeah, like I'm wearing out lots of brooms)

*After a bee sting, immediately wet area & apply salt to ease pain

*Occasionally add one teaspoon of salt to a quart of fresh water at room temperature and put your goldfish in for about 15 minutes. Then return them to their tank. The salt swim makes them healthier. (that sounds like torture, but whatever, I'm not an expert)

I noticed at the bottom of the Salt Institute page, there's even a place for "Members Only". Merry Christmas, you're all getting a 1 year membership to the Salt Institute. Ho Ho Ho! :)

So, should I be ashamed to say that I've had my broom for as long as I can remember. Like, since college?
