Wednesday was a low-key swim party at our house with Reese's CoOp buddies. If you've seen the news lately, you know our area has received almost record amounts of rain. It rains daily, & Wednesday Party Day was no exception. Luckily, the rain held off for about 45 minutes, just long enough to get some fun swimming in. We grilled burgers & hotdogs, ate outside, and once we came back in the house, the rain came back & soaked the world again! We ate Pirate Cake inside...check out the pictures...Reese picked it out of a magazine, Mommy made it, & it turned out darn cute!
Thursday was Reese's actual birthday. The first thing in the morning, he asked "Mommy, what kind of cake can we make for my real birthday?" We were already having another cake on Saturday when Grammie, Pottsie, & GGMa come to visit, but how could I say no to a request for a cake on his birthday day? So...Reese & I made a handful of little cakes, and took them to Reed's house to decorate & eat. The boys had fun with ALL the sprinkles...
Friday, Grammie, Pottsie, & GGMa came to town for a fun family weekend. Everyone went bowling on Saturday, then we ate lunch at Joe's Crab Shack. They had a cute rice krispy treat with a candle for Reese, & they sang Happy Birthday. He couldn't figure out how everyone in the restauraunt knew it was his birthday!?!
Everyone had to return home on Sunday, & Mommy, Daddy, & Reese took a big nap Sunday afternoon, listening to the rain pour down! :)
