Last summer, I believe Lake Grapevine was up about 16 feet past normal. We don't visit the lake ever, so it didn't really sink in just how high that really was.
When Reese & I went to the lake to meet some homeschool friends on Tuesday, I noticed the watermarks on all the trees. Holy smokes!
You can see the water line, above the picnic pavilion. Way above the picnic pavilion. Which means that everything we were standing on & looking at was very much under water last summer. Amazing!

Holy cow, That really puts it in perspective! Yes we got lots of rain last year...hope we get a little more this Fall at least.
